Secured Home Equity Loans - Bring Cheap Finance Home with Ease

Saturday, September 29th, 2007

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Amanda_Thompson]Amanda Thompson Home is no more a dwelling place only. For people in need of greater finance, home turns into a tool of borrowings as well. But what is more beneficial is that home makes it possible to take very cheap loan. Well this is thanks to secured home equity loans. In the loan market secured home equity loans are considered as cheaper loans that can be put to any use like home improvements, clearing medical bills or enjoying a holiday tour. Even the loan can be utilized for paying off previous debts. Equity in home is the basis of providing secured home equity loans. How much equity is in a home depends on the current market value of the home and the balance amount its owner owes on it. The difference of the two is taken as equity in home. Secured home equity loans are considered more secured. The borrower places his home as collateral to the lender but the loaned amount is never more than the equity. Hence in case the lender sells the home for recovering the loan, he is sure to get an amount at least equal to equity. The biggest advantage of making equity the base of secured home equity loans is lower interest rate that is lower than any secured loan. This is the reason why secured home equity loans are popular as cheaper loans. Equity plays deciding role also in the amount to be borrowed. The applicant with a higher equity home enjoys greater borrowings. Another attraction of secured home equity loans is convenient repayment duration. The loan can easily be returned back in 5 to 30 years as suits to the borrowers financial position. Such a large duration enables borrower in spreading the interest in as many installments as suits to him and can lower the monthly outgo towards installments. The borrower is able to save money for other expenses this way. Because secured home equity loans are the most secured ones, lenders are not worried over bad credit of borrowers. Just when the lender looks into annual income, employment and overall financial standing of the applicant for a mere formality, secured home equity loans are approved to bad credit people without hitch. You can find number of secured home equity loans on internet. While searching them, pay attention to the interest rate of individual lenders. Compare interest rate and rest of terms-conditions before applying. Better apply to a online lender for immediate approval of the loan. It can easily be established that secured home equity loans are more suited for lower interest rate and easy accessibility. Take extra care in paying installments regularly or you may loose your precious home to the lender. For bad credit people secured home equity loans are opportunity for repairing credit score as well. Gastro-Physics And Dietary Anti-Matter

Thursday, September 27th, 2007

By Will Clower, Ph.D. Do a little people-watching, next time youre in the grocery line. Theres always someone with a cart, bulging with every conceivable kind of diet food. Flats of turkey bacon prop listlessly against the fat free half & half and Olestra cookies. At first glance, this is clearly someone who is completely health conscious, diet minded, and watching what they eat. But peek beneath the basket to the lower rack where you normally find dog food, kitty litter, and toxic chemicals and you will see the full case of Mountain Dew. Diet foods and junk foods, rubbing wrappers in the very same cart might suggest mental illness, delusional optimism, or some other form of brain strain. However, unbeknownst to the rest of us, these folks are actually brilliant physicists, cleverly disguised as profoundly confused shoppers, so as not to attract any attention. They throw you off their trail with very characteristic behaviors, like chasing a candy bar with a Diet Coke. Yes, we can now release the fact that these scientists are members of the little know branch of their field known as gastro-physics, and they are actually testing a high-level theory regarding matter and anti-matter. Just as matter can be annihilated by anti-matter, they show how calories can be eliminated, obliterated, and just forgotten about altogether if you just consume them with their Universal opposite. Oreos and skim milk cancel perfectly. M&Ms are vaporized into the next astral plane when thrown into a trail mix bag with a few Spanish peanuts. And then theres diet drinks the perfect dietary anti-matter for any form of plasticized fruit rollup, gummy worms, or even weight loss candy bars. Sorry for the dive into the messy scientific details, but theres just a bit more you should know about this physics phenomenon. The calorie cancellation must happen within a certain time frame, if you are serious about blipping away that ingot of taffy you just ate. Its like your mother explained, logically, that swimming after quick a baloney and cheese sandwich at the beach will make you drop like a rock to the bottom of the ocean, unless you wait the required 30 minutes or so. In just the same way, modern gastro-physicists indicate that full cancellation can only take effect if the diet product smashes into the junk food within 7.45 minutes. These guys are brilliant. So the next time you see cleverly disguised gastro-physicists chasing their Snickers with a Diet Coke, dont harrumph. Theyre not as daft as they seem. Want to Lose More Weight? Eat Breakfast!

Wednesday, September 26th, 2007

By Kimberly Floyd The other day, I was talking with my sister about eating healthy and she said, “Breakfast is the hardest meal for me. After all, what can you eat besides bacon, sausage, or eggs?” Eating breakfast is essential to your weight loss efforts. A National Weight Control Registry survey has shown that people who eat breakfast tend to be slimmer than people who do not. Eating breakfast kick starts your metabolism in the morning. Because eating a healthy breakfast is a problem for many people, I would like to share with you some ideas for this meal to help you start your day right. Omelets - Okay I know these are made with eggs, but lets make them healthier. To start, mix three egg whites together, plus one yolk. Cook the mixture in a pan that has been coated with cooking spray. Fill the omelet with green onions, red peppers, mushrooms, and low fat mozzarella cheese. For an added kick, serve with 2 tablespoons of chunky salsa or low fat sour cream. Breakfast pizza - To create an Italian masterpiece, simply spray two whole wheat English muffin halves with olive oil spray. Toast lightly. Top the halves with two tablespoons of tomato sauce or spaghetti sauce on each. Then add some chopped vegetables, such as peppers, mushrooms, artichokes, or olives. Cover the vegetables with part-skim mozzarella cheese and bake for 10-15 minutes in a 425 degree oven. This pizza also makes a good lunch. Smoothies - Want something sweet and healthy? Try a Strawberry, Orange, and Banana Smoothie. To make one, pour one cup of orange juice in a blender. Add one cup of frozen strawberries, one whole banana, and a scoop of vanilla flavored protein powder. Blend until smooth. Enjoy! Nutty Yogurt - If you are in a hurry, nothing beats a small container of fruit flavored non-fat yogurt and mixed with 2 TBSP. of almonds, pecans, or walnuts. Alternatively, you can also stir in cup of quick cooking oats. If you want a more traditional breakfast, then there is always breakfast cereal. For maximum nutrients, you want to make sure that the cereal you choose has at least five grams of fiber per serving. Add banana or a cup of berries for an extra vitamin boost and top with either skim or 1% milk. With a little creativity, you can develop your own favorites. Use this meal to set the tone for good nutrition all day long. A Registered Nurse for many years, Kimberly Floyd battled obesity for much of her adult life. Dieters : Questions You Must Ask Yourself when You Want to Lose Weight

Sunday, September 23rd, 2007

By Janice Elizabeth Small Now I know you’re always asking yourself questions. You know the ones like “Why can’t I lose weight?” and “Why does everything that’s bad for you taste good?”. But those questions won’t get you anywhere except maybe helping you feel sorry for yourself and setting you up for a spot of comfort eating. A more empowering set of questions, on the other hand, will get you off to a good start if you’re about to begin a weight loss program (or keep you on track if you’re in the middle of a diet). Here are the questions to ask when you want to give your weight loss efforts a real kick start. Why do you want to lose weight? Make sure your reasons for losing weight are clear. Do you want to look good? Do you want to feel healthier? Has your doctor given you a health warning? Do you just want to be able to run around the park with your kids? Maybe all these reasons apply. The more reasons you have for losing weight and the more you are aware of them the easier it will be to remind yourself to keep to your weight loss program when the going gets tough. Even better, spend some time imagining how you will FEEL when you succeed. This will do more than anything to increase your motivation. How much weight do you want to lose? Set yourself a target. This gives you something to aim for and you will be able to see how much closer you are getting each week. You can never succeed if you don’t know what the end point is. “I want to lose weight” is not a measurable goal you have succeeded (of sorts) after you lose an ounce. Make your goal specific with a target to aim for. What will you do to lose weight? Nothing is going to change unless you do. So what changes are you going to make? Will you follow a particular plan or just cut down in general? How will you know if you’re succeeding? What exercise will you take (if any)? How will you make sure that you follow your plan? What will you do about the things that might get in the way? Vague ideas about losing weight need to translate via a concrete plan into action. Ask yourself the questions and decide what you will do. Who will support you? Some people will actively encourage you and help your efforts while others will get in the way of your plans. Do you know who your supporters will be? And who you will need to avoid or find some way to deal with? Ask for the support you need from those you think are most likely to give it or join a club of people who are also trying to lose weight. These are available online or offline. If you can afford it think about getting a coach all that focus on your success will work wonders. As for those who are less than enthusiastic about your plans, think about ways of handling them. Of course you’ll need a different strategy for close friends and relatives than you need for the guy who brings cakes into the office and insists you eat one! And the final question? When will you start? There’s no time like TODAY. No eating the pantry empty before you begin. Dump the junk food and get started right now! There’s No Such Thing as a Free Ringtone!

Sunday, September 23rd, 2007

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Emily_Sims]Emily Sims There is nothing worse than being duped. Not only do you feel like an idiot, you are left to pay for an item or service you dont want. The latest scam is the ringtone subscription service. Companies advertising free ringtone downloads, targeted at teenagers, have caught many users in expensive subscription clubs. The con is simple: Aggressively market your product as free, wait until a user enters their mobile number to access the free download, then send the user 30 ringtones a month at a cost of 5 USD per ringtone. Premium SMS subscription services, like ringtone clubs allow mobile phones to be used like credit cards. Legality is addressed in the terms and conditions agreement, a small box on the subscription form that must be ticked before processing. Written in practically illegible 9pt sans serif text, terms and conditions usually pop up in a small window which must then be maximised. Typically, the word subscription and service pricing appear only in the terms and conditions. For example: By clicking the COMPLETE button you agree to subscribe to Any Club’s ringtone service. You will be sent your choice of ringtone FREE of charge as a bonus for joining Any Club. The service allows you to download up to 4 ringtones each week. The US$4.95 charge will be billed to your mobile bill twice per week. To stop this subscription service at any time, SMS STOP, to short code 77777777. Your phone must be polyphonic compatible, be Internet-enabled and have text messaging capability. You must be the owner of this device and either be at least sixteen years old or have the permission of your parent or guardian. Artist names used for identification purposes only. Standard text messaging rates apply. For help contact customer service at 1-123-456-789. This standard terms and conditions script can be found at any ringtone website purporting to provide free content. In practice, terms and conditions protect the ringtone supplier, once the box is checked the customer can be said to have recognised the stipulations of the agreement. Thus the blame is conveniently shifted from the ringtone supplier, to the customer. The customer, it is claimed, should have read the terms despite being (mis)led to the website on the pretense of free content. Recently, thanks to a spate of consumer complaints, several ringtone providers have been forced to change their advertising policy. In the UK complaints of misleading advertising against ringtone company Jamster! have been upheld by the Advertising Standards Authority. In the US a lawsuit has been brought against Jamster!, accusing the Crazy Frog proprietors of fraud, false advertising, unfair business practices. Legal action may result in greater transparency on behalf of operators like Jamster! However, consumers should recall the cliche theres no such thing as a free lunch, and be highly suspicious of any website offering free mobile content. Low Cholesterol Diets

Friday, September 21st, 2007

By Eddie Tobey Fat or cholesterol is a major energy source for the body. Cholesterol is a naturally occurring fatty substance that builds natural hormones and helps build and maintain nerve cells. When there is excess amount of cholesterol, the walls of the blood vessel can thicken and reduce circulation causing heart attacks and strokes. Good eating habits and exercising can usually control cholesterol levels. It’s important to know that the concept of low cholesterol diet is not depriving you of fat, but eating the right type of fat. There are three main types of fats in food namely saturated fat, monounsaturated fat, and polyunsaturated fat. Foods high in saturated fat such as meat, full-fat dairy products, butter, lard, cream, cheese, and takeaway foods increase the blood cholesterol. These fats have to be reduced in our meal to control cholesterol. In contrast, polyunsaturated fat and monounsaturated fat can help lower cholesterol. Good sources of pure vegetable oils and spreads such as sunflower, corn, grape seed, margarines and some vegetables, olive oil, avocados, nuts, and seeds are rich in this kind of fat. It might sound complicated, but in practice it’s simple. Generally, it is advisable to avoid frying, and if you must, it is better to use a small amount of olive oil rather than butter. Foods like meat, egg yolks, whole milk, organ meat, and milk products are high in cholesterol. These kinds of food are absorbed very easily into the blood stream. Avoiding such foods can help us keep the blood cholesterol levels low within a healthy range. It is good to avoid fast food restaurants, as their foods are usually high in fats. Knowing the ingredients and the method in which the food is prepared allow us to wisely choose our food. Saturated fats should be completely avoided in our diet. A healthy low cholesterol diet depends on the daily requirements of calories and on avoiding fat and cholesterol foods. Low cholesterol diet foods are all low in fat, making them great choices for anyone trying to lose weight. Diets provides detailed information on Diet, Diet Pills, Diet Programs, Diet Plans and more. Treasure Hunting - Part Two

Wednesday, September 19th, 2007

By Steven Gillman Treasure hunting begins at home. People regularly find famous old books and valuable antiques in their attics, so get up there and look. One couple opened their walls while remodeling, and found them insulated with thousands of old and valuable movie posters. In the thirties a theater owner ahd put them there. The couple sold $200,000 worth of the posters, the last I heard. There are many more ways to go treasure hunting. I used to take the old telegraph pole insulators form along train tracks, to sell for $4 each at an antique store. They were otherwise being shot to pieces by hunters over the years. The colored glass ones are usually the more valuable ones. Panning For Gold For $10 you can buy a gold pan, and start prospecting. It’s easier to see the gold in the green plastic ones. Most federal lands are open to prospectors without a permit. I’ve only seen gold in my pan in Canada (there isn’t much gold in Michigan), but people have better luck in the mountain streams of the southeast and southwest. It’s a nice way to spend an afternoon in any case. Treasure Hunting With A Metal Detector Metal detectors start under $200. I’ve found a few hundred coins, but none of them have been valuable ones. When the city tore up old sidewalks, a woman in our town used her detector to find coins . She sold one to a local coin shop for $700. A friend tells me that her husband and her have found many pieces of gold jewelry at the beach with their detector. It’s also common to use metal detectors to find gold nuggets in the southwest. Treasure Hunting In The Streets Collecting cans for 37 cents a pound is a tough way to make a living. Here in Michigan and other states, however, there’s a 10 cent deposit on every beverage container. During festivals I see people with bags of hundreds of cans they collected in the parks and garbage containers. Some travel here every year during the Cherry Festival, just to collect returnable bottles and cans that week. I spoke to a man who went to the big concerts to collect beer and pop cans in the parking areas. He said he makes over $100 in a few hours (plus the time to take them to the store). Collecting “returnables” can be an unpleasant way to make money, but an old guy in town here tells me he pays the rent doing this. Treasure hunting is about having the right frame of mind. There are treasures to be found everywhere. I once found a chest with foreign notes and coins in the crawl space under our house. Hotel owners report that visitors tuck money in the bedside bible, and forget to take it with them. Sometimes you just have to look. Steve Gillman has been studying every aspect of money for thirty years. Cure Your Depression With This Revealing Exercise

Tuesday, September 18th, 2007

By Sylvia Dickens This one cure for depression sounds too simple for some, yet extremely difficult for others to understand and implement. At the start, the cure might see minimal results for those with more severe cases of this devastating and life-robbing illness. Regardless, all people suffering from depression can benefit. We already know that depression is based on a chemical imbalance within the brain that affects how the depressed person thinks and can react to various stimuli. It involves the electrical impulses in the brain. In people with depression, some areas are less active while others are over active. Getting these to properly aligned often requires medications and for some sufferers, its for a lifetime. For the rest of us who have suffered various degrees of depression, there is a simple solution. It can represent a lifetime cure or a temporary remedy that provides respite so the depression can be treated in other ways. The cure that saved me was to change how I thought and felt about myself. While depressed, a condition that lasted about 20 years, I constantly felt ineffective and unworthy. The self-talk was powerfully destructive to my ego. Thoughts revolved around a life filled with perceived failure, loneliness and self-dislike. I didnt think much of myself and believed that, overall, I was not a very good person and I didnt deserve anything better. Back then, my self-esteem was non-existent. A change in focus and attitude quickly turned that around. I owe it to a great therapist who knew how to form rare powerful statements that sent the point home. Like any good therapist, he made me do all the talking. He made me answer my own questions, too. And when I was struggling to find those answers, he would make one brief statement and everything would fall right into place. Thats how it was the day I felt even more worthless than normal and believed I wasnt good for much of anything, especially since I only had one good friend. Ill remember forever the words that impacted the rest of my life. After three years of treatment, he told me that I didnt like myself much and that I relied far too heavily on others for my own happiness. Having never had many friends, I told him this was the problem, but he quickly assured me that having just one good friend is often more than many people enjoy. Suddenly, I felt fortunate rather than lacking. And over the next while, my life began to make a drastic about face. As he suggested, I involved myself in a pastime that I had always enjoyed writing. Since I also enjoyed archaeology and mythology, finding two night courses that united them with writing proved to be the starting point in my recovery. The books I read in these two subjects were absorbing. Almost immediately I felt my depression lift a little. When my lessons were returned with high marks, it lifted even farther. Was it possible for such a simple solution to cure the lengthy depression that had hung over me since I was a teenager? It seemed so. Those first two courses were just the beginning. I wanted to learn more. I wanted to exercise my innate writing skills. With every exercise, my self-esteem improved. Five years later, my depression had almost vanished. I felt proud of myself for my unexpected accomplishments. No longer was I worthless. Now I could use my abilities to teach others as well as for my own enjoyment. If you hear those self-defeating comments coming from deep inside your brain, switch your thinking to what you know you can do well. Focus on those abilities and exercise them. For me, I was able to make incredible progress by taking night courses and eventually, a three year journalism program. For you, it might be to volunteer in an organization that interests you. This might be seniors issues, childrens programs, archaeology, local history or any number of subjects. It might be difficult at first getting into a public setting, especially if you have become housebound because of your condition. I know what that’s like. If this is the case, work from home. You can take correspondence courses in almost any subject these days. There are tasks you can do from home that benefit local organizations. I created an oil painting as my very first life-changing exercise. Investigate what level youre at and what youll feel comfortable with at the start, but with the intention to get out and get involved. The key is to do something you will truly enjoy and that uses your current abilities. Think back to your childhood, if necessary, and revisit the activities that you enjoyed. How can they be implemented today for your betterment? As a child, I loved pretending to be a teacher. I now use my writing skills to teach others on a variety of subjects. Theres a lot to be said for the old expression, do what you do best. When you fill your thoughts with only the things you can do best, those negative ideas will soon dissipate and with continued effort your life will improve immensely. Your self-esteem will be replenished; your depression will be banished. A life filled with accomplishments and confidence leaves no room for depression. Search Engine Optimization Company Questioning

Sunday, September 16th, 2007

By Jason Bland Search engine optimization companies are popping up everywhere. Prices and service guarantees are as different as black and white. Unfortunately for companies unfamiliar with search engine optimization, some search engine optimization companies are simply scams. Here are some red flags which you should look for when hiring a search engine optimization specialist. Meta tags are commonly thought to be synonymous with search engine optimization. The reality is somewhat different. Meta tags do need to be formatted properly and include only keywords and keyphrases that are actually in the content of the web page. If your search engine optimization company says things like advanced meta tag development or proprietary meta tag optimization, you should be cautious. There is no such thing as advanced or super or proprietary meta tags. Either your meta tags are formatted correctly or they are not. It is a simple right and wrong. The right way is to include only the keywords and keyphrases included in your web sites actual content. The wrong way is to spam your meta tags with any and all keywords that come to mind. Not only is keyword spamming frowned upon by the search engines, it is useless for your search engine optimization efforts. You should also be cautious when search engine optimization companies offer dont pay us guarantees. Many SEO companies will offer such guarantees where you dont pay any monthly service fees until your site is ranked high. Another one allows you to stop paying after so many months if your web site isnt ranked high. The most important guarantee is simply a guarantee that the company will perform all of the monthly services outlined in your service agreement. If your service plan includes elements to increase link population (quality link population) and maintain site content relevance, then the natural science behind search engine optimization will allow your site to gradually increase in ranking. However, make sure you have a guarantee that your SEO company is in fact performing all the tasks outlined in your proposal and service agreement. Perform the easy background check. You should never spend more than $500 on a product or service without Googling the company name or brand. This can be extremely valuable. Because of the powerful link population and enormous level of content on consumer report web sites, they tend to rank very high in the search engines. Therefore, before signing anything, you should Google the search engine optimization companys name and see if any complaints have been posted. Use phrases like Avoid XYZ Company or Never use XYZ Company. If you see something posted, ask the search engine optimization company for their side of the story and listen for fast dismissals of the situation like That customer was just an idiot and didnt know anything. This is usually a sign that the negative customer is in the right. Finally, the most ignored way to protect against bad search engine optimization companies is to make sure they accept credit cards using a regular merchant account. Merchant accounts will not keep a company which has a high level of charge backs. Charge backs occur when a company does not do what they say they were going to or fails to deliver on a product or service. Ask your search engine optimization company how long they have had their merchant account. If they had one prior to the current merchant, ask how long they were with the previous merchant provider and why they are no longer with them. Do not be embarrassed to inquire as to who their merchant provider is. You are getting ready to hand over more than $1,000.00 to this company; you are well within your rights to ask. If a company is using a third party such as PayPal or 2Checkout (exclusively rather than as a second payment option), ask the search engine optimization company why they are not using a standard merchant. PayPal, 2Checkout, and other similar services do not have the same high standards as a regular merchant solution. Standard merchant accounts will also require the officers of the company to have an acceptable personal credit score whereas third party payment processors do not check personal or business credit. By doing your homework and asking the right questions, you can feel comfortable with your selected search engine optimization company and hopefully enjoy a pleasant, long term business relationship.
